Lately
Rambling, yes! It's what I do!
So, I finally watched The Dark Knight the other day. I liked it. (And reading rumors that Johnny Depp may be a villain in a rumored #3 was a squee moment.) Don't get me wrong, I liked Keaton, and I love Burton, but that set was rather campy in style, whereas the new set is more... real, which is also good.
I found out by accident that Resident Evil 5 is coming out... I'll have to wait for a playthrough to come available so I can watch it, which'll take a long time, obviously. (Then again, it was only by accident that I realized Silent Hill: Origins & Homecoming were out so I could watch playthroughs.) Because, you know, the control system in the RE games is enough to make me fling my controller across the room... repeatedly. (Rather like how I felt while playing Parasite Eve 2, actually.)
Also found out they released a CGI movie, Resident Evil: Degeneration. (How do I keep missing this stuff? Geez.) So I added that to the queue because I'd really like to see it and fill in some damn blanks. (Though, somehow, I must question whether it's of Square quality, and if I ultimately care in this instance.) But whoa, the Major is a voice in it? Very cool.
Watched a playthrough of Shadow Hearts, and still can't understand why it has such fanboys. Granted, I didn't watch Koudelka first, which might explain feeling like I was dropped in halfway through the plot, but still... Sadly, only some of the music was worth listening to. Three tracks to be exact.
Almost worked myself up to installing Apartment Life and Mansion & Garden. Almost.
Finally made it to chapter four of Suikoden 3. I think I've been very spoiled with the New Game + options for 4 and 5 (and Tactics, I suppose, though I've yet to finish that one, but when I do, I'll have plenty of money and cool equipment for round two). At some point, within the next century or so, I expect to have finished writing my personal-use walkthrough. (And I'm not looking forward to when I get around to doing one for FF XII.) I've played the damn game so many times that doing it for the walkthrough is just... snooze-worthy. (That and Mr Laptop is painfully sloooooooooow to work on.)
