Mr Shadow
I found out earlier that Mr Shadow likes cobwebs. What I can't decide is if he just likes the way they feel against his whiskers, or if he likes eating them. Such a strange cat.

And, I've come to the conclusion that VMS must be a complete flop, since I've yet to hear anything from anyone about it. Oh well. I still had loads of fun working on it.

It's not a flop I think, anyway I'm playing it. It's just that I'm completely and utterly stuck!
I have 80 sickles but no where to spend them, a whole host of potion ingredients which I know the properties of thanks to the library, but have no idea how, what or where to make said potion, and other various paraphernalia from other parts of the house. I've resorted to looking at the hints but they offer... not a lot of help. I know it is not supposed to be obvious but but to me it couldn't be more obscure because apparently there is a study somewhere in this house yet I can't even bloody find it! :(
Maybe if you were to give (on this site or your other one)more hints or even provide a walkthrough it might help up the popularity.
In other words PLEASE HELP, this game is driving me mad and I MUST complete it but don't know how!!!
{p.s. I do like Ron's reaction to the dead spider *grins*}

He's telling you you're missing something from that room. Something there gives some interesting information, and implies some other things (it sounds like you already found one of those implications given something you mentioned in your initial post).

More is necessary to actually locate the study, though.

Nimby has a set number of clues he'll tell you, in order. However, if you've found something out of sequence (more than possible) he won't mention whatever it is, and just skip to the next clue.
