Sea World, etc.
On the way back from Orlando I happened to notice a couple of signs which made me laugh.

Catholic Church
All you can eat seafood

I don't know why that struck me as funny, it just did.

→ Landfill
→ Senior Center

All I could think here was something like "Aw shit, Ethel kicked it. Joe! Pop her on a handcart and hit the landfill across the street. We get a discount."

Anyway, we drove to Orlando yesterday, had wild sex in a hotel room, then hit Sea World today, since I'd never been.

Rick says the Kraken is an average coaster, nothing to write home about, but the Manta (which is new) is feckin' awesome. (I don't do coasters.)

Saw the cutest little fishies I'd ever seen. I wanted to take 'em home! Unfortunately, the photographs did not come out all that great (camera phone).

(Dragonfish photo)

For a much better photograph, check here.

Did the usual stuff... looked at a lot of fish, mantas, turtles, sharks, sea lions, so on and so forth. The polar bear was napping, so he was kind of boring. The puffins were adorable, then penguins waddled, and the octopus was sleeping squished against the glass. (I think the sea horses might have been fornicating, but I cannot be certain.)

It was also too hot. Wasn't so bad to begin with, but by around 3pm it was a serious mistake to stand still, and roaming the vast expanse of tarred parking lot trying to remember where we parked (yeah, we actually forgot to make a note of that) was like being whacked repeatedly with a whiffle bat of superheated humidity.

All in all, I had fun. And the only things I bought were a bunch of rocks (I can't resist the lure of polished stones), and another pearl.
