Oh Glorious Games of Frustration
Rrrrrrr.
RCT3 keeps silently crashing to desktop after a while (I'm working on Career Mode scenarios), and Sim City 4 caused a BSOD yesterday, scaring the crap out of me in the process. Rrrrrr. Jurassic Park, on the other hand, seems to behave, but that last mission utterly escaped me (stupid friggin' carnivores refusing to pose properly for me while I take pictures, and jebus but I don't wanna have to out-drive a T-Rex again). But, now that I think of it, Evil Genius has a tendency to occasionally CTD as well.
Speaking of Evil Genius, I did manage to complete all ten main objectives and unleash unholy mayhem and terror upon the world. I'm considering having another go at it. It's kind of like the Sims or Dungeon Keeper—there's this potential obsession with design. Is there a perfect base entrance? Is it possible to waylay those pesky agents of the Forces of Good for so long with pointless doors and confusion traps that they leave without ever getting into the really interesting part of the base? I should find out. Because really, the first go-through was me flailing madly in an attempt to seem competent. And besides, there are three different Doomsday weapons you can make. (Granted, I sniffed around and found a video of the Gravity one, whereas I picked the Earthquake one.)
LoZ finally got its friggin' act together on potions, so Nimby was able to respec and nab the entire Body tree (with the coveted Warrior), plus keep all the looting skills (losing the haggling skills), and buff up a bit on magical MPT. It's making this whole adventure at +5 thing much easier overall. I'd only been sitting on those four coconuts for a couple of weeks now from when I managed to beat them out of those Gambit offers.
In other news, Justus has gained a cool million in interest (give or take a few thou) two days running. This is good.
